gravy - quick and tasty real gravy
Gravy made out of real fresh ingredients is a very special taste, but al that boiling and reducing seems a real pain to me. This one is cooked in less than 15 minutes.
It is wheat-free and gluten-free, unlike many gravies, as well as being my favourite.

Ingredients
- oil
- one onion, chopped small
- small apple, chopped small
- 3-4 mushrooms, chopped small
- 1-2 sticks celery, chopped small
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger (optional)
- 1/4 tin of baked beans
- 1 tablespoon of yeast extract (eg Marmite)
- black pepper
- boiling water
Method
- Fry onions in oil until soften
- Stir fry in the apple and vegetables until softened
- Mix in the baked beans, ginger, pepper and yeast extract
- Add boiling water until it looks like soup
- Blend with a hand-blender and serve
