Description
This now just a wholesale ordering service, but is still a jewel for people catering for vegans and vegetarians in the resorts of the Tarantaise Valley, from Val D'Isere to Val Thorens, as well as anyone around wanting decent Indian meal ingredients from popadums to curry paste. It's run by a British vegetarian who imports food from the UK.
Vegan foods include RealEat's VegeMince and Chicken Style pieces. Linda McCartney's tasty Sausage Rolls, Spicy Three Bean Bakes, Chilli Non Carne, Vegetarian Cornish Pasties and Country Pies are all vegan, as well as her rather unpopular sausages. We're encouraging Gary to get in some of the Fry's range , as these are fabulous and very good value as well as all being dairy-free, egg free, vegan, kosher and halal.
You will find a great range of chutneys, curry sauces and pastes, including Patak's and Sharwood's. We Brits revel in a good curry when skiing. And remember, popadoms are vegan too! Marmite comes in big jars at a reasonable price.
If you'd like Gary to get you in something special or larger quantities than normal, chat to him at least 5 weeks in advance. You can give him UK veggie food supplier ideas, such as the great listing of these on the Special Guests website.
And you can hire yourself a DVD or two while you are there!
