You are unlikely to find a better welcome in Tignes as a vegan or veggie, or as anyone else for that matter, than you will at a Ski Olympic chalet. A great all-round attention to detail company with many repeat guests and generous free ski hosting and activities.

Their chalets are in Le Lavachet and Le Lac, are well cared for and well located. They book Sunday to Sunday and have a very eco friendly overnight coach travel option from London to your chalet door.

I stayed at a Ski Olympic chalet in Tignes and was impressed with the high standard of vegan cuisine even for one person and at very short notice. The lovely chalet hosts looked up recipes on the Internet, took on suggestions and converted some veggie recipes they already had as well. An example is Hagrid's Pie , which was yummy.

Being able to communicate directly with the resort manager and the chalet hosts really helped them feed me. With larger chalet companies like this, it is a good idea to make sure the local staff are prepared and helped.

Ski Olympic chalets are nicely looked after, have decent storage in the rooms and staff are wonderful. They also do free ski guiding on most of the days of the week, from blue run skiers upwards. The staff arranged optional activities, such as inter-chalet quizzes and outings that were great fun! I'd very happily stay with them again.

Ski Olympic run their own coaches so you can travel directly from London to your chalet overnight in the most environmentally friendly way possible, plus get 8 days' skiing in. They run Sunday to Sunday so traffic is much less on the journey. You could alternatively take the 'own travel discount' and travel by train for luxury, ease and a horizontal night's sleep .
