why

Why do we organise these trips? Good question.

A few reasons:

• We like the company. We always have a varied group of lovely individuals, who all enjoy good food and snow. There is absolutely no imperitive to be vegan or even veggie if you come on one of our trips - just enjoy the food!
• We get much better food as a group than we would as individuals, and so do you!
• We demonstrate to ski companies that vegans like skiing and boarding and are nice to have around (they already know about veggies!).
• We inspire that company in providing better veggie & vegan food.
• We demonstrate that a veggie/vegan diet is more than adequate for vigorous exercise.
• We raise funds for great veggie & animal causes by donating the group leader discounts offered when booking.
• We encourage eco-skiing.
• We enjoy the expression on the ski instructor's face when we say "we are ALL vegans!"

And do we make any money from the trips for ourselves? No. We pay full price too.

Photography and the Press at Events

Cameras are normally present on the ski trips and sometimes these photos will be used on this web site either as a record of the event, or to advertise forth coming trips.

Periodically, these photos may also be used in news articles by the vegetarian press or even local or national press.

By attending an event you give consent that any photo you may appear in may be used by us to promote vegetarianism. We would not publish any photo that portrayed any individual, or the group, in a negative way.

If you really don't like being in photos, just say and we will do are best to ensure you are unidentifiable in any photos. Typically, people are in helmets and ski goggles anyway.

Any photo you send in to the group will remain your property and where possible credit will be given. The photo may be edited for aesthetic reasons.

Getting the vegetarian message to a wider audience is one of the reasons why the trips exists.
